Purple, Day Four
I need a category for stupid hair blogging.
Huh, it looks more blue today in person. Not so much in the picture. Maybe this time it’s going to stay purple longer!

If it’s any consolation my teenage son thinks your hair looks like cool Anime hair… but then he does like cold pop tarts and catchup on eggs.
How about your hair makes your butt look tiny? hmmmmm maybe I should just quit while I am ahead.

Very cool. Mine’s so dark I could never get it that purple without some serious bleaching, which after seeing the test piece cut from the back of my hair, er, I opted not to. (It disintegrated.)
I had pretty good luck with Manic Panic’s Vampire Red, though.

Oh, that purple part is bleached all right. But not as bleached as you would expect. You can see my natural color is a dark brown. The strips are bleached to a mediumish blonde. NOT a white. But yeah, disintegrating hair would scare me too!
MP’s Hot Hot Pink WILL color my brown hair, making me have to be more careful than I usually am. Maybe try that one on for size sometime?

You’re WAY braver than I am with hair color…when I did a magenta highlight earlier in the year, I used something that would wash out in one shampoo!

I still really like it! I still have my bleached part in the back- it’s like a haircolor mullet. The pink has long since faded, it might be time to try some at-home Manic Panic. Which ones do you like?

Art Nerd: My super favorite color is Red Passion because it’s just a lovely shade of raspberry that fades to more of a cotton candy pink. It’s nice all the way until it’s gone.
I also like Pillarbox Red, which is a bright bright red color with pink undertones.
I like Hot Hot Pink but it will color dark hair so I have to be careful with it. Also, it’s the only one that will color a pillowcase (it washes out, but still). It’s a strong color, but awesomely bright!
I think if my local Sally Beauty Supply carried it, I would try Fuschia Shock or New Rose…and maybe Purple Haze or Vampire Red.
