Lazy
I almost used InterLibrary Loan to send a book from one college I work at to the other. Because all the rest were going there.
That, my friends, is lazy.

I do the same thing between the Med School Library and the Main, because I’m too lazy to drive the mile across campus.

I definitely am doing this at larger Private University, from the main library to the Art and Architecture…because it’s just A LOT of books sometimes and I don’t want to carry them.
But this was one book.
I’m glad I’m not alone!

I’m a librarian at a university, and I use our scanning/document delivery system instead of pulling and copying journal articles myself. I also have books pulled from the annex and delivered to my library, even though it’s only a five minute walk. I think of it as efficient instead of lazy, but I’ll cop to laziness, too.

Ah, wait, yes…I like thinking of it as efficiency!

Hey, it’s job security for the people that pull your books. In today’s economy, that’s getting harder to come by.
