I missed another goddamned day. Here is Tobias
Wednesday was my day of suck and the internets got shafted. Basically it was a busy work day with some crazy thrown in for good measure.
I present more cat blogging to you today, brought to you by my 19 week old orange tabby kitten, Toby.
Seven Weird/Random Things about Toby
1. I like it when Lydia, the bigger cat, cleans my ears. A lot. I will shun all for this.
2. I am also a huge fan of her licking my bum.
3. I very much enjoy sleeping face to face with the people. FACE TO FACE, I said, Lady. I want your nose to touch my nose, no matter how sneezy you get.
4. Have obsession for ice water. Not in my bowl, are you crazy? YOUR ice water. In your glass. I’m refined and shit.
5. Have obsession for bath water. Could be fresh and new and warm, could be full of shaving cream, whatever. There is nothing wrong with sitting on naked people’s laps while they’re in the tub so I can lap up this questionable water. Don’t judge me.
6. I do not like toilet water. Yet. I haven’t tried it.
7. I have just figured there is another room in this house, called the “outside.” I’ve made a break for it once to twice only to be thwarted before making a full exploration. I’m working on a new plan.

Hee. Nosy. I love little kitty nosies.
There is a book out there called Everything I Need to Know I Learned From My Cat. I think it came out in the early ’90s. When I worked as a legal secretary, I had one of the pages photocopied and hanging in my cubicle. It was the one where the cat is poised on dainty hind feet drinking out of the toilet with the caption, “Challenge yourself.”
I also had a copy of The Swing. For some reason, no matter where I worked, I was constantly being criticized for my attitude, told that it didn’t seem like I really wanted to be in that place doing that job.
Huh. Imagine.

Interesting, I got the same comments when I worked for Junior Achievement in Development, and had a copy of The Swing up in my cubicle.
Something about that picture, eh?

My kitties are ALL about wanting to drink from my glass of water. We can’t set any glasses down if there is any liquid in them, or they will soon have some floating furs. Also, the kitty to kitty ear-grooming. Kitty ear wax must be quite the tasty treat.
