The Loofah Baby

Our kitten, Tobias (Toby, Tobies) has taken to carrying around a loofah baby. It is just a bath loofah that I don’t think anyone really uses in this house, but Toby finds it comforting in all its scratchy glory.

It’s exactly like one of these:

And Toby, who is about 18 weeks old and a little orange tabby beauty, carries it around like its his baby. It’s about as big as he is. He bites into it, carries it to his next sleeping place, drops it, and snuggles up to it.

A snuggly, scratchy loofah baby. I seem to have taken to sleeping with the loofah baby myself.

I hope all Americans have a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Thanks for reading through this crazy year!

My damn camera doesn’t work anymore!!! Need another…pout.

    It’s adorable, really. And odd.

I wish my cat would “adopt” something as her baby. I buy her toys but unless I lace them with catnip or tuna, she ignores them.

Love the new look, by the way.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. And thanks for the link to the art site. I sent a bunch of thanksgiving e-postcards with “good” pictures this year.

Okay, here’s what you have to do — and I mean it, you must, because that kitten is not getting any younger:

    1. Go to the nearest grocery, drug, or convenience store.

    2. Buy one of those disposable cameras. (I don’t care how much they cost; skip a meal if you have to.)

    3. Shoot the kitten (on film, of course! or digitally!) being adorable.

    4. Upload or scan the results.

    5. Show us the results immediately.

Yes, yes, you have other things to do; blah, blah, blah. But I want kittiness! I want kittiness now! You must cease withholding the kittiness!

Um, I’m going to go drink a cup of herbal tea now. Meanwhile, I hope someone gives you a lovely camera for Christmas. Or sooner! Chanukah is coming really early this year; why not go Jewish for a change? ;)

    Yes, MA’AM!!

I am buying MYSELF a camera for Christmas, no waiting for anyone else!!

I think I’m going to get a Canon SD1000 7.1-Megapixel, unless someone tells me there is a good reason not to!
