Woman!!!
I love the bumper sticker that reads, “Woman, behold your son,” with an ultrasound image of a fetus.
We all think abortions suck, mightily. But some of us, you know, the women with the uteri and the lifetime of parenting and financing ahead of us, also know that sometimes abortions are necessary. You don’t like it, help the social problems that contribute, don’t put a sticker on your car. (A sticker with Biblical words taken out of context, I might add.)
You know what I love more?
When my eleven year old son sees this WOMAN! bumper sticker and asks me, “Don’t women already know that’s their baby? Why does this person think they don’t know that?”
Amen, son.

I’ve not seen this one. Now that you have mentioned it I will probably start seeing it all the time. I don’t really get it, are they saying every fetus might be Jesus? Or a boy? Cuz either way if we end up overrun by a bunch of unwanted Boy Baby Jesus’s, we might have to start shipping them to China for adoption.

Here, here! I have tons of these kind of people blood-related. When you ask them what they’d suggest as an alternative, they say, “Adoption.” When you ask if they’d ever adopt. They say, “No.” When you ask why, they say, because they “don’t want to have to deal with someone else’s problem.” (THIS MAKES ME PULL MY who’s going to burn in hell because I don’t go to HAIR OUT. And then I’M labled the horrible person church and am “pro-abortion.” I don’t know anyone who’s all, “Yipeee! Abortions! So why do people say, “pro-abortion.”) SOrry for the ranting…. And the raving…. Now I need a drink…

So…what about the daughters? And what about the men who also contribute to the need for abortions?
How ’bout a bumper sticker that says, “Man, behold your daughter” and shows a fetus? Why is it ALWAYS on the women, and why is it ALWAYS about the sons?
I speak strictly tongue-in-cheek, of course.
Still, it might be funny to start selling bumper stickers that read, “Driver, behold the road.” But only a few people would get the joke.

Sara, I totally agree.
First, I think the sticker assumes women are idiots.
Second, yes, why women? Men have nothing to do with abortions or hell, the cause of pregnancy? Puh-lease. Why always a son? Oh, of course, sons are all-important.
I have sons, I adore sons. But damn.
