Craiglist is sometimes scary… I was trying to find daycare for Kidlet and called a few of the advertised people and one sounded rather out of her gourd, to be polite. I could hear kids in the background, too. Creeepy.
On a completely un-topic related subject, I just got caught up on what is going on in your life, and I am so very sorry about everything. I am rooting for you, which sounds corny and the wrong action, but you need people at times like this who are still on your side and remind you that you’re still worth rooting for, if that makes sense.
On the note of bad habits you inspire, I would have to say you’ve inspired me to act out in irrational ways ever since I first read your post about being a teen mom and college educated. I went out and applied to a Real University, and that was pretty damn irrational. I got in, too. Thanks for that, with words beyond words because I have none to say,
MK
And as for the Bitch, PhD posting you mentioned at your place about motherhood and grad school, I agree with what she’s saying (especially about vanity degrees)…except I think this: Yeah, grad school is really hard with kid(s) and no, parenthood is not supported. HOWEVER, working a shitty job is really hard with kid(s) too and nope, parenthood is not supported there either.
In most jobs, anyone with family is not supported and that includes all of us, not just parents. Single people have families and responsibilities too and they are just as unsupported.
So, go to school. Rock Real University and our field with your badass self. Get your motherfucking degrees, line the walls with them if you like and do the work you were made to do.

Mel, I was an asshole who didn’t provide a link. There is now!! I’m sorry and thank you honey!
Cat, note to self, do not offer exotic services on Craigslist. Who knew!

You found exotic services listed on Craigslist? Oh crap. Guess I have to take those ads down now.

Check my recent ode to Craigslist on my blog. It’s not erotic, but it’s just as scary as some of the erotic ads.
