Spendy (So not about my marriage!)
Bought: Dresden Dolls debut cd.
It hasn’t arrived yet but I can’t wait. I can’t fucking wait for it. I didn’t buy the newest one because this one has “Missed Me” and “Coin-Operated Boy” on it. For Anne’s birthday we all went to the Dresden Dolls concert at the Pageant (with Gravity Plays Favorites, oh my my). They were amazing. Awesome. Loved them. I can’t wait.
Bought: Fat order from Sock Dreams.
I bought the lovely top-striped over the knees (OTKs): in Lavender. They are delicious.
I bought the O Chevrons: in Charcoal. These are truly thigh highs on me and are super comfortable.
I bought the Sock It To Me Argyles: in White/Grey. These are lovely and soft and will go over my knees easily but when I’m walking around will sit perfectly just under my knee.
And lastly, I bought the O Basics: in Dark Brown. Another really soft pair that stay up perfectly. These also go over my knees but sit nicely right under them.
I’m working on my second order right now…my last year’s addiction has been renewed.
What are you buying up right now?

I blame my son… Star Wars figures. I have Obi Wan on my desk, R2D2 in my bedroom, and Darth Vader lording it over my computer at home….

ummm, maybe I’m out of the loop, but why do you need socks that go OVER YOUR KNEES?? How cold does it get there???
I had no idea there was such a ginormous selection of socks out there. wow. I just may have to order me some new socks. I really like the Knee-high multi-colored striped fishnets.

It gets fairly cold here, but it’s a moist cold that seeps into your bones…and I’m always fucking cold.
But really? Over the knee socks are sexy. And lord knows I like feeling sexy, even if my chub is sitting on the rim of my jeans right this very second. I know that underneath I’m rocking some hot argyles.
I also like sleeping or lounging around in them with a pair of soft shorts or boyshort undies. Comfy! Warm! Not restrictive or twisty like pajama pants!
Sayre, that’s a lot of Star Wars!

What am I buying up right now? Vegetables. Yeah, that’s right. Vegetables. And fruits.
My favorite farmstand, Hutchins Farm, is closing for the season tomorrow. My fridge overfloweth with spinach, potatoes, apples, sweet potatoes, parsnips, shallots, kohlrabi, and squash, all fresh, all local, all organic. I’m eating, cooking and freezing as fast as I can, but I think the fridge door might pop off from pressure sometime in the middle of Hallowe’en night sending produce and jam jars flying everywhere.
Now that will be scary!

Ohhhhh…. I LOVE thigh-highs. And that you have nice, warm, cozy, knitty thigh-highs makes me insanely jealous. Those are gorgeous!

Just satisfied my addition to Lush BIG shampoo. I was in San Francisco last week, so I didn’t have to spend $7 on shipping. Yet, it is still really hard for me to believe I have spent $40 on shampoo. It was the only souvenir I brought back from California.

Lush’s BIG shampoo is totally worth it though! That stuff is amazing. My sister bought it and I stroked her hair all day long, I had to buy it immediately. So fabulous.

Comfortable shoes. I just got a pair of Born mary janes. I can’t wait to wear them. Also, arm warmers. I am also always cold, so I figured that a pair of arm warmers (sold as fingerless gloves - how useless is that?) will be good to have to wear as an extra layer.
