Daniel is not an observant child. I’m afraid he gets this from his beloved mother and it generally does not serve him well.
Today he stood a tad too close to the neighbor boy swinging a bat. The kid just wanted to hit the ball out of the yard, but instead swung back and cracked Daniel in the head.
